The Product
Medstrap Holster provides ongoing storage of oral Yankauer suction devices in a secure, easily accessible and aseptic environment between the suctioning of the oropharynx of an anesthetized patient.

The Problem
Airway suctioning in multiple settings can cause cross-contamination if suction tips are not properly stored.  Inbetween suctioning of the patient, suction tips are typically placed on the patient’s bedside table, under the mattress, on the floor, etc. — this provides a clear path for hospital-acquired infections (HAIs).  Each HAI costs the hospital an average of $40,000 U.S. per incidence.

The Solution
The Medstrap Holster is an inexpensive way for a hospital to break this source of contamination as the cost of using them in a given year throughout a healthcare facility is less than the hospital’s cost for one HAI.
